We are another step closer to opening with the Writing Studio now featuring a beautiful desk ... courtesy of my sister Mary ... thanks so much! There will be a small gathering in the studio tomorrow as some of my family check it out. We look forward to welcoming the community in the weeks to come. Stay posted for details of our opening ...

Market day

I visited the Merbein market yesterday and it was a hive of activity! There were stalls stretched on both sides of Commercial street for several blocks and right past The Ink Table.

I picked up a couple of treasures - a very old copy of Pinocchio and an old English tin paint set in great condition.

I handed out a stack of flyers to let the community know that we will be opening soon. The Merbein Progressive Society that organises the market has been fantastic. They are very supportive of our venture and are keen to promote us.

My desk arrived yesterday and is perfect ... can't wait to put it to good use.

The Writing Studio

It's all happening! Today the power was switched on at The Ink Table. Moana's art studio is almost furnished and ready for our upcoming launch. My writing desk is in transit, and the bookshelf is slowly filling. I will be handing out flyers at The Merbein Market this Sunday to introduce the community to our exciting new venture. We can't wait to be up and running . . . and look forward to meeting you when our doors are open in the next couple of weeks. x Clare

Today we had our carpets cleaned, our furniture begining to move in and confirmation of our 10 copies of mixtape being personally collected from the wonderful Justine at Mixtapezine.com

Tomorrow our power gets turned on, my tables get moved in and journals start to be

made inside! My art supplies and paper begins to build up and thick beautiful art books are displayed.
